White Collar Crime

Being charged with a "white collar" crime can be misleading since it is usually a non-violent offense.   What many persons do not understand is that, even if non-violent, people can go to jail for years for these offenses.  Fraud, embezzlement and a host of offenses involving the United States Postal Service and use of telephone equipment can be very serious.  Lately, more common offenses have involved allegations of mortgage and securities fraud.

These allegations are not civil lawsuits; they involve the Federal Government seeking to take your money and place you in jail.

These offenses often involve complex issues in Federal Court and evaluation of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.   The experienced attorneys at Armstrong, Cheris & Page, Chtd. appear in Federal Court regularly and can provide insightful analysis on the Federal Guidelines and how they might affect you.
